The tutorial was enlightening to say t he least. we were taught the various purposes of WWW sites. This was an eyeopener for me as one could deduce how the various websites use the similar medium to cater for different purposes such as news, entertainment and information.We were also taught how to differentiate between a blog and a wiki. A blog is often a personal online journal that focuses on a particular subject such as personal interests and information can only be transmitted and published by the author. A wiki serves as a a kind of website that allows anyone and everyone to edit/add/remove information freely.
In conclusion, the internet serves as an effective communicating platform for various purposes and has a dynamic influence in the world today.
